Floren Van Stichel
Audio Engineer.
Making a memorable recording or mix, like most worthwhile things in life, requires going the extra mile. Regardless of genre, time or place, one strives to give form to a fragile and fleeting sensation or emotion. Just as a musician makes use of his instrument and experience, body and soul to tell his or her story, an audio engineer utilizes ears and intuition, savoir-faire and available gear to give shape to the magic that occurs. Floren Van Stichel is one such recording engineer, with pinnae & acumen at the ready!
Schooled at the renowned SAE Institute Rotterdam by esteemed audio engineers such as Maurice Blaak and Tom Pearce in 2012, trained, drilled and whipped into shape as an intern at MotorMusic Studio’s (Mechelen, Belgium) through 2013, he is the first engineer to be fully employed at that same illustrious studio which surely lays at the heart of the Belgian music scene.
With an interest spanning numerous technical and creative fields, familiarity within many musical genres and a vigorous appetite for new adventures, Floren has built up a substantial list of credentials during the first decade of his career. This website is dedicated to presenting the highlights of his portfolio.
